This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the data controller is Bumps & Babes Fitness, with an address at Maryborough Hill, Douglas, Cork.
What personal information we need
Through our website we only collect basic personal information about you which does not include any sensitive types of information or location-based information. This does, however, include your name and email address. We do ask you to fill out a pre-screening form prior to taking our classes, which may contain sensitive information related to your health and lifestyle. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.
Why we need your personal information
We need to know your basic personal information in order to communicate with you. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide and oversee this service. All information collected on our pre-screening form is analysed by your instructor in order to provide you with the best and possible programme in the safest manner. The personal information in this form will be used for marketing purposes, should you opt in. Your emergency contact will be phoned in case you are injured or become ill. The information is collected via Google Forms and is as such subject to their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We also capture aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we may use to provide and improve the services on our website.
What we do with your personal information
All the personal information we process is processed by your instructor. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. Our website is hosted on the WordPress platform. WordPress provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through WordPress’ data storage, databases and the general WordPress applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
How long we keep your personal information
If you subscribe to our mailing list or register for any of our programmes we will retain your basic personal information for communication purposes. This information will be retained by us until such time you notify us that you no longer wish to receive further communication. Information provided by you in our pre-screening form will be held for a maximum of 2 years after your last class. It’s necessary to store this information for 2 years for insurance purposes.
What are your rights?
You have rights under Irish Data Protection legislation, with regard to our processing of your data. You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting us via email at bbfitnesscork@outlook.com
If you have registered on this site, or registered for one of our programmes you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. We will ask you to verify your identity before responding to any such requests.
